Job Details

Job description:

Assists new residents in adjusting to unit, philosophy and goals
Report to Charge Nurse any accident or change of condition of resident and documents on progress notes in chart
Discusses clinical issues regarding resident care with Charge Nurse
Works as a member of the interdisciplinary team to Assist with preparation, implementation and continuing evaluation of the care plan
Observes, records and reports progress or any change in resident's condition
Updates the care plan as needed;
Carries out therapeutic treatments;
Administers and dispenses medications (with exception of I.V.) to residents, observing for side effects and effectiveness;
Secures/accounts for control drugs;
Maintains nursing care and administrative records and reports;
Attends staff meetings and in-service programs.
