Travel Mammography Technologist job duties

Prepare patients for mammography procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
Position patients and adjust mammography equipment to ensure optimal imaging results while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Perform mammograms, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and interpretation by radiologists.
Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring it is properly calibrated and in good working condition.
Adhere to established protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in mammography.
Document patient information, procedure details, and imaging results accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and follow-up for patients.
Monitor and assess patients for any adverse reactions or complications during and after the mammography procedure.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients, addressing their concerns and promoting a positive experience.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in mammography technology and practices.
Assist with quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure consistent and accurate imaging results.
Prepare and maintain records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control tests.
Educate patients on breast health, self-examinations, and the importance of regular mammography screenings.
