Speech & Language Pathologist - (SLP)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2926.18 - $3206.35

SLP - outpatient needed asap DAYS REQUIRES CURRENT ALASKA LICENSE MUST HAVE CURRENT FLU VACCINATION Education · Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Progressively responsible professional/exempt work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education. Experience · 3 years of experience providing therapy to the patient population served by this position. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience. · Acute care hospital experience of at least three years including subspecialty areas of dysphasia and neurology is preferred · Experience with modified barium swallow / video fluoroscopic swallowing studies and bedside “clinical” swallowing examinations, preferred License · Licensed by the State of Alaska in the field of Speech Language Pathology · Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association · Basic Life Support certification · Valid Driver’s License Must have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, teachers, community members and non- SLP service professional persons of any level of understanding. Including the ability to translate complex SLP service diagnoses, evaluations, and therapies into simple oral and written language that others can understand · Must have the physical ability to deliver treatment techniques and assist patient mobility while keeping patients and self-safe. Allowing the therapist to work effectively with patients and their families for proven therapeutic progress · Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment in all aspects of employment such as patient care, work place safety and employee relations.

Speech/Language Pathologist, Outpatient Licenses: SLP-AK Certifications: BLS-AHA(Copy needed) SSN Required DOB Required Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Progressively responsible professional/exempt work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.

Acute care hospital experience of at least three years including subspecialty areas of dysphasia and neurology is preferred
